BEAUTYBAR 1947 WAS INSPIRED BY MY NANNY,
EVELYN HAMILTON.
Evelyn grew up here in Long Beach, NY.
She graduated from LBHS in 1947, aptly winning the superlative
"Best Looking." She then moved on to raise six beautiful children here.
Her love for family and her hometown was invigorating.
But the way my nanny carried herself; along with all of the chores, all of the children and their needs,
my pop-pops, her own needs; was just simply i n s p i r i n g.
Remember — this was in the late 40-50s. Women's basic necessities were expected to be placed on the backburner.
However, my nanny was strong, and her signature beauty inside and out
became an undeniable mark on everyone she graced.
Evelyn's love and commitment not only to her family, but also to personal health
and beauty was a gift that she passed down through generations. That is our goal here at Beautybar 1947.
We're here to remind all women how beautiful and powerful you really are.
Women all over have it ROUGH these days! New hoops and different obstacles everywhere we turn.
But regardless of life's trials and tribulations, you not only deserve to feel like the goddess warrior you are,
